52 Pick-Up is a video production challenge for anyone who is up to the task of making one video a week for 52 weeks straight.

Equivalent to drawing a sketch-a day or writing a page-a-day, it's an exercise in endurance to get the juices flowing with a quick deadline that can be used as an excuse for both brilliance and failure. 52 Pick-Up is meant to stimulate and challenge, excite and ignite viewers and participants alike about video, different ways of working, diverse points of view, and having bragging rights and the goods to go with having made one video a week for an entire year.

It's like a Master Cleanse for Video Makers.

Rules:

Make one video for 52 weeks straight
Weeks start on Sunday, and end on Saturday.
You can start any time of the year and participate for as long as you like; ideally, you're committing to 52 weeks straight.
Missed weeks will be represented with a static square on your artist grid page.

Start Date
Regardless of your inital start date, your first video will be uploaded to the Week One grid, and so on. If you miss a week, then you will have holes in your grid. It doesn't matter how many weeks you miss.

Videos can take longer than a week to make
However, for each week, you must submit a video by the end of that week. So if production on a given video is one month, you still must meet the weekly deadline and submit one video per week.

Substitute video makers
You can work in teams, or have someone "sub" for you on any given week. It doesn't matter how the video gets made, just as long as you meet your one video per week quota.

Videos can be any length
1 minute or less is recommended for server space, load time, attention span and work load; keep in mind that 52 weeks = 52 videos which is a lot of work for you:)

Copyright and Content Disclaimer
This is an artist's project with no funding, resources or mandate other than the objective of making one video a week for 52 weeks straight. Copyright and it's infringement is the responsibility of participating artists, as is the content. The opinions expressed within the video content is solely that of the credited video maker.

Participation
No taksie-backsies!
By agreeing to participate in this online project, you understand that this is an active, online archive, and that I will not replace or remove work once it has been submitted, unless I have made an error in its upload. Please be aware that this is an online project with an indefinite lifespan. If you are at all concerned about sharing video or work here, DO NOT DO IT as I cannot remove you with any amount of ease, and it is after all, the internet. Please be aware of the implications before agreeing to participate.
